Quality Policy


The purpose of Sayed Hamid Behbehani Company., W.L.L(SHBC) Quality Management System is to support business so that our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Projects involving Civil, Electrical, Mechanical works as well as Maintenance and Communications projects consistently meet or exceed customer expectations, in a most competitive and efficient way. This is of fundamental importance to the continued success and the growth of our company.

SHBC is totally committed to meeting the needs and expectations of all relevant interested parties in adherence to the following: -

  • Endeavor Products & Services to the Client`s total satisfaction.
  • Employ Competent workforce and effective Project Management skills to ensure projects execution as per technical, financial and time requirements specified by our customers.
  • Continual Commitment to “Quality” in what we do, and how we conduct our operations shall remain the cornerstone upon which SHBC is built.

    Health Safety & Environmental Policy

     


    SAYED HAMID BEHBEHANI & SONS CO. W.L.L., recognizes its responsibilities for an effective management of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental sensitivities related to its operations. Being a socially responsible company, we are truly committed to conduct its activities safely in an environmentally friendly manner.

    SHBC management recognizes that prevention of occupational incidents, injuries, illness, and environmental concerns are the result of effective planning, consultation and participation of employees, including their representatives to achieve a common objective. The leadership and commitment for such an effort originates from the management through the implementation of international standards for Safety, Health & Environmental Management Systems (SHEMS).

    SHBC will ensure that a practical and effective SHEMS is established across organization and on each of its Project in adherence to the following:

    • Commitment to provide safe and healthy workplace to prevent work-related injuries, ill health, and Pandemic (Covid-19) by deploying necessary resources and control measures
    • Identify needs and expectations of all interested parties and comply with relevant legal requirements, regulations, contractual requirements, standards, including client requirements.
    • Identify all HSE risks, opportunities, internal and external issues and take steps to ensure elimination of hazards and mitigation of risks
    • Set objectives and targets, monitor and periodically perform reviews to achieve the results and continually improve its performance.
    • Prevent & minimize HSE incidents, through effective controls, appropriate training of workforce to improve their skills and competency.
    • Develop methodology to control those processes which involve significant risk
    • Minimize the impact on environment through pollution prevention, minimizing waste and other pollutants from our activities.
    • Identify processes, and use materials that reduce risk of environmental pollution, and take steps towards sustainable development.
    • Promote conservation of natural resources such as air, water, energy, and land in an environmentally sensitive manner, and attempt to maximize recycling, reduce waste and reuse of construction materials before safe disposal.
    • Adopt measures aimed at protecting our workforce, subcontractors, visitors, and surrounding community.

    SHBC will continuously monitor, measure, review the SHEMS, progressively show continual improvements, and fully comply with the requirements of Occupational Health and Safety Management System Standard ISO 45001:2018 and Environmental Management Standards ISO 14001:2015.

    Safety, Health & Environmental Policy will be reviewed annually, and communicated throughout the organization, to all our employees, stakeholders, and general public.

    Environmental Policy


    SHBC proudly upholds compliance with industry environmental laws, legislation, regulations and statutory requirements. It is our policy to:

    • Minimize waste generation from construction activities
    • Reduce the use of pollutants
    • Maximize recycling
    • Safely dispose of waste materials
    • Maintain strict procedures and keep accurate records to log performance
    • Remain in full compliance with the requirements of Environmental Management Standards ISO 14001 2004
    • Ensure that all employees, stakeholders and general public on our work sites follow these environmental policies

    Health & Safety


    Worksite safety is paramount at every stage of every SHBC project, from concept to creation. The SHBC Safety Policy is applied to all projects through our Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management System. We encourage all staff, clients, suppliers and contractors to follow our commitment to create a safe work environment, and proactively identify occupational exposures in order to apply prompt and efficient controls. By conducting regular reviews of our procedures and processes, we monitor that safety standards are consistently achieved.

    Key safety policies include:

    • SHBC’s safety program meets and exceeds the contracts and the legal requirements set forth by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
    • Documentation of safety procedures.
    • Review of safety practices, with continuously updated rules and guidelines in response to evolving risks.
    • Full compliance with OH&S Management Standards OH&S 18001-2007.
